Afternoon / Evening (6 hours) Township Tour + Dinner

Discover the vibrant Cape Town township nightlife with a guided afternoon
or evening tour of Langa and Khayelitsha - two of the city’s most iconic
townships. Led by a personal English or German-speaking guide, you
explore the rich history, culture, and daily life of these communities. Enjoy an
amazing home-cooked dinner with a local “mama,” who shares her story over
a warm meal. For a lively finish, opt to visit a traditional township shebeen,
where you can enjoy a drink with locals and soak in the authentic township
vibe before returning to your accommodation.

Half-day (4 hours) Sunday Township Tour + Church Service visit

Join a unique and memorable Sunday Cape Town township tour starting
with an early morning church service in Langa at 8:00 a.m., where you will
experience powerful gospel worship through singing and dancing - an
unforgettable moment, even for non-religious visitors. After the service, enjoy
a guided 1.5-hours walk through Langa, gaining insight into its diverse living
conditions, meeting local families, and exploring the vibrant community. The
tour ends with a drive through a nearby Coloured residential area for a direct
cultural comparison before returning to your accommodation.

Inclusions / Exclusions
Township tour rates include:
- Vehicle with driver from and to your accommodation in Cape Town (CBD) and an English- or German speaking tour guide
- Donations for families visited and projects supported by us

Not included:
- Meals according to the above descriptions (children under the age of 10 years pay 50% for the meal)
- Drinks and personal expenses
- Tips (we recommend 5-10% of the tour rate and 10-15% of the meal)

Meeting point for the tour:
For all tours you will be fetched at your accommodation in Cape Town (CBD) and taken back there at the end of the tour.
If you are staying outside the CBD, we can arrange pick-up and drop-off there as well at a nominal surcharge, depending on the area.

Terms & Conditions

-A deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required to secure your booking
-We accept payment by credit card or an electronic transfer into our bank account
-Balance is payable two weeks before the start of the tour
-If your booking is short notice within two weeks prior to the tour, the full amount is       payable with reservation
-If you cancel the township tour between one month and 15 days prior to the tour date,   50% of the total tour price will be charged
-If cancelled within two weeks prior to the tour or in case of a “No-Show”, the total tour   price will be due for payment
-Any paid amount will be credited for a later date or fully refunded in case of travel   restrictions for the period of booking when ordered by government of the guest’s home   country or South Africa.
